Maysan vegetable-oil refinery
Plant supply, reinforced-concrete foundations and structural steelwork for a 150-tonne-per-day vegetable-oil refinery at Al-Imam Ali Al-Hadi Factory.
Maysan / Amarah, Iraq
Scope of work
Kado’s contract covered the design and supply of a vegetable-oil refinery plant, with supervision of installation. Separate packages covered the building foundations and steel structure. The plant’s stated capacity was 150 tonnes per day.
Work on site
Civil works included excavation, soil replacement, a reinforced-concrete raft and equipment pedestals. The steelwork package included multi-level framing, stairs, handrails and cladding. Structural members were fabricated in Alexandria, Egypt, for the factory in Maysan.
Project photographs
The gallery shows process-equipment installation inside the steel structure, bolted steel connections and the building’s multi-level frame. These views show the equipment and structural work involved in the refinery programme.
